Stereotaxis Magnet System Suite Configuration

The magnet system hardware fits in a standard size heart catheterization lab, and when not in use, can be retracted and stowed on the sides of the lab, allowing the lab to be used for traditional manual procedures.

In the vast majority of cath labs, installation of magnetic shielding is not an impediment or significant cost factor.

Magnetic Requirements

• The magnetic field needed for catheter and guidewire control is less than 1/10th that of a standard MRI machine
• It is sometimes necessary to install a magnetic shield to assure that the magnetic field is contained within the lab
