The NAVIGANT™ user interface is an integrated information and control center that consolidates the key information sources used by interventional cardiologists and electrophysiologists, and allows these physicians to remotely and precisely govern the motion of the working tip of disposable interventional devices. NAVIGANT is built on clinical workflow management software which guides the physician and offers detailed anatomic maps and 3D views that serve as navigational pathways. This "workflow engine" is extremely versatile, making possible an array of procedure specific software programs for a wide range of clinical applications.

NAVIGANTconsists of:

• "Clinical Workflow Manager" that provides a consolidated 3D visualization and integrated information display to the physician, located either adjacent to the patient table inside the cath lab, and/or in the adjacent control room, outside the x-ray fluoroscopy field;
• Sophisticated device navigation algorithms that can recognize interventional device properties to facilitate quick targeting for improved navigation;
• Simple control interfaces which allow the physician to direct the motion of the working tip of the disposable interventional device, either from inside the cath lab or from the adjacent control room; and
• Diverse software packages designed for specific clinical applications in interventional cardiology or electrophysiology.
