Dr. Michael Porter

Saint Joseph Hospital

Stereotaxis is a complete change in the technology of EP… we can focus on electrophysiology rather than manual manipulation of the catheter.

“I saw it and had to have it.” That was Dr. Michael Porter’s reaction to witnessing his friend, Dr. Bill Spear of Advocate Christ Medical Center, perform a procedure on the Stereotaxis system. By the end of 2014, Dr. Porter and Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver had their very own system.

“Stereotaxis is a complete change in the technology of EP,” says Dr. Porter. “It allows evaluation and treatment of arrhythmias in the method we all learned, meaning we can focus on electrophysiology rather than manual manipulation of the catheter.”

The deductive reasoning involved in every case, as well as the continual advancements in technology, is what drew Dr. Porter to the field of EP nearly 20 years ago. Today, he serves as an important thought leader for Stereotaxis, providing fantastic feedback to better our technology!
