I’ve always loved the idea of robotics, and Stereotaxis has provided me the ease of navigation in all aspects of the heart, which is impressive.
Dr. Andrew Merliss likes a good mystery. “The precision of EP, reading and understanding electrograms – it’s like ‘Discovering the Legend’”, says Dr. Merliss, a clinical electrophysiologist with Bryan Health in Lincoln, NE. When the opportunity arose in 2008 to try a new tool in solving the mystery of arrhythmias, he jumped at the chance.
“I liked the idea of being an early adopter of Stereotaxis robotics and I pursued it,” says Dr. Merliss, who at the time became the first in the state of Nebraska to utilize robotic navigation for cardiac ablation. “I’ve always loved the idea of robotics, and Stereotaxis has provided me the ease of navigation in all aspects of the heart, which is impressive.”
Dr. Merliss has a point of making his patients feel they are part of the solution and says being able to relieve them is “most gratifying.” A visionary who keeps patients at the center – that’s impressive to us!
