Dr. Dhanunjaya “DJ” Lakkireddy
Dr. Dhanunjaya “DJ” Lakkireddy is an EP’s EP in every sense. He literally has his fingers on the pulse of care and innovation for the body, mind and spirit of patients with complicated arrhythmias. At his Kansas City practice, DJ explores disease management from every angle, which includes identifying underlying mediators that other practitioners may miss. Key factors like the effects of inflammation or the role the brain plays in arrhythmias aren’t overlooked. Dr. Lakkireddy even explores how yoga may help patients reduce stress and in turn reduce the nervous system’s triggering of arrhythmia.
It’s thoughtful and creative care like this that has made DJ a hometown favorite in every one of his Kansas area clinics.
Stereotaxis adds an additional tool to this “no stone left unturned” approach. For complicated ventricular arrhythmias where mapping and therapy delivery can be challenging, DJ states that, “The success of RMN system is due to continuous catheter contact, stability, easy maneuverability with the ability to reach difficult locations, and superior delivery of energy from the catheter tip.” As a co-investigator for the MAGNETIC VT trial aimed at highlighting differences in robotic vs manual approaches for VT, Dr. Lakkireddy stays true to form in searching for the best solutions for his patients.
