Even Professor Petr Neuzil’s mini-me is taking part in the celebration! As we commemorate our 100K procedure milestone, Nemocnice Na Homolce in Prague, where Prof. Neuzil serves as the Chair of Cardiology, marks 10 years with the Niobe system. In 2007, the hospital – the largest Czech institution for the treatment of heart rhythm disorders – introduced a technology that has “brought hope to a number of patients whose normal treatment of arrhythmia failed,” it recently wrote.
Prof. Neuzil is one of four primary Niobe system users that together have conducted more than 1,600 magnetic ablation procedures, particularly in patients with congenital heart defects and life-threatening VT. “In comparison with previously used classic, manually performed procedures, catheterization ablation of very complex cardiac arrhythmias can be performed more accurately and effectively using the Niobe system,” says Prof. Neuzil.
Congratulations to all on this impressive achievement!
