The benefits of Stereotaxis technology are far greater than conventional methods used to treat arrhythmias, including allowing for more careful analysis of arrhythmia and precise ablation.

Intellectual stimulation is a common theme among EPs when explaining what first drew them to the profession. The other part of the equation is about making a real difference in peoples’ lives. “The ability to help patients by treating their arrhythmias can be very satisfying,” says Dr. Aneesh Tolat, clinical rhythm specialist at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center and Trinity Health Of New England in Hartford, CT.

Dr. Tolat is one-half of a duo that has treated over 1,500 patients with robotic cardiac ablation at Saint Francis. For one case – a patient who had a D-TGA with Mustard procedure and atrial flutter – Dr. Tolat says the robotic magnetic navigation system was the only option. “The benefits of Stereotaxis technology are far greater than conventional methods used to treat arrhythmias, including allowing for more careful analysis of arrhythmia and precise ablation,” he says.

Thanks for translating curiosity into better patient care, Dr. Tolat!
